Neeraj Arya's Kabir Cafe: Kabir, you will live with love in us!
Recently listening, 'Halke Gaadi Haako' By Neeraj Arya's Kabir Cafe. They try to make a difference. Gonna write about them.
First review about any band, Hope you will give me some favor.
In this current era, It's hard to stick in one genre for musicians because of the quick choice changing of listeners. Even, young generation, the prime target audiences for the music industry, love to hear more high-beat songs. So, as the traditional production principles, musicians make 'masala' songs more and more.
And yup, those become big hits, bring large scale profit.
Though I am a native Bengali, I often listen to Hindi songs too. I ain't love listening to those songs, which I have mentioned before. No No, I love metals, but genuine metals! Don't mean me outdated!
I am a lover of that type of song, which has a good tune, which can touch my soul, and just love to lose and mingling with the magic of the song. People can say, the typical 'classic' song lover. I can agree and also disagree too. So, I always skip and skip songs, and was a little bit confused about what kind of music I expected! huff!
But, I realize my music taste, when I listened to Neeraj Arya and his child band 'Neeraj Arya's Kabir Cafe'. Yes, I also introduced to this band like most other viewers, the mighty 'Scam 1992's Composition.
That album was awesome, also the series too, I will write about it further. Here, two songs included of this band, loved much by the viewers. 'Matkar Maya Ko Ahankar' & 'Do Din Ka Jindegi' from their first album 'Panchnama'.
But they have worked for Bollywood before too. Badshaho and Fakiri. They have performed in various countries, earn love, respect.
But before that web series, they were underrated.
They focus and play only on Kabir. Kabir Das. A philosopher from the middle era, mostly the 15th century. In Bengal, We know about Lalon Fakir, there are some similarities between Kabir and Lalon's philosophy. Kabir doesn't bother about religion, he always thought about the Insignificance of a human's regular life and shared his intense perception with his quotes. Those touches souls, forced to rethink about lifestyle. He had fans, devotees. Those quotes spread by their's sound, tune. Not written at all.
And as Indian culture, those carried century by century, playing now too!
Kabir's Music practiced and studied in Bhajan, Classical Music.
But those didn't reach the modern generation. They don't follow slow music. And here, Neeraj and his forces make the difference. People started to love them, and also recognize Kabir.
They are updated, composite. Not too much instrumental, Moderate, and sophisticated, calm arrangement with joy, I can say in one word. Usually, Mukund Ramaswamy plays violin, Raman Iyer plays the mandoline, Guitar Played by amazing guitarist Neeraj Arya, Some percussions arranged by Viren Solanki, Sometimes Bass Guitar played by Britto.
In short details, He performed as a Solo Artist then find his soul, in Kabir. He has researched Kabir for six years. Mukund introduced him to Kabir's philosophy. Neeraj started to find the 'Shatsangh'. The amazing journey started. By the way, he didn't include his name in the band name, other members did to respect his contribution.
It is a matter of guts, where the whole industry started floating with the flow, this band started with only one area. But finally, dilettantes started to realize their impacts. But, personally, I hope that they also start exploring other areas too, there is so much philosopher, musicians in Indian histories. We will love to flow with them too.
